Who?
Joachim Druant is a Technical Specialist Electrical Drives at DRV Solutions, where he plays a key role in guiding industrial clients and collaborative projects from advanced research concepts to practical, market‑ready solutions. He obtained a PhD in Electrical Engineering at the Department of Electrical Energy Systems and Automation at Ghent University, with research focusing on modelling, control, and performance optimisation of converter‑fed electrical machines and electrical variable transmissions. Following his PhD, Joachim gained industrial experience at Dana Belgium NV, where he worked on advanced electric drivetrain technologies, bridging high‑fidelity modelling and control research with practical automotive applications before joining DRV Solutions. Now, he translates complex technologies into robust, manufacturable, and scalable solutions.
